Who is responsible for your data

What we collect
When you write to us through the contact form: your name, email address and message.
When you place an order: your name, email address, billing and shipping address, and the details of your order. Your card details are entered on Stripe's payment page and are never seen or stored by us.
Why we use it
To answer your messages (our legitimate interest in replying to you, or steps you ask us to take before an order). To produce, ship and support your order (performance of the contract between us). To keep the invoices and records required by Portuguese tax law (compliance with a legal obligation). To count visits to the website without identifying you (our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used). We do not use your data for marketing without asking you first, and we never sell it.
Who else handles it
Netlify hosts this website and receives contact form messages. Cloudflare counts visits to the website (see Cookies and visit statistics below). Stripe processes payments. Resend sends our order confirmation emails. Our print lab, Estúdio1 (Portugal), receives your name and shipping address when it sends a print directly to you, and shipping carriers receive them to deliver your order.
Some of these providers are based in the United States; where data leaves the European Union, it is protected by the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Cookies and visit statistics
This website does not use cookies or advertising trackers, and its fonts are served from our own site.
To know how many people visit and which pages they read, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts page views without cookies, without storing anything on your device, and without identifying you or following you across other websites. It records only general information, such as the page visited, the website you came from, and your type of browser, device and country.
Your cart is kept in your own browser's local storage, so it is still there if you reload the page or come back later; it is never sent to us until you check out, and it is cleared once your order is paid. The payment page is run by Stripe, under Stripe's own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are kept for the period required by Portuguese tax law. Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to reply and follow up, and at most two years.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive it in a portable format, by writing to cerqueiragomes.photography@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page, with its date.
